GTC 3 Goals

Curriculum Development

Collaborate with partners to develop, test, and disseminate discipline-specific Modern GIS curricula that are aligned with the GTCM to equip students with the Modern GIS skills needed within various occupations.

Innovate Professional Development Pathways

Organize and offer comprehensive professional development pathways for educators focusing on best practices in the use, applications, and teaching of Modern GIS Tools. Provide professional development workshops centered on demographic analyysis, data dashboards, and program / project mapping for project personnel to enhance project operations.

Center and Project Program Support Using Modern GIS Tools

Enhance collaborator operations by leveraging Modern GIS Tools to identify regional disparities in job opportunities and skill demands, while optimizing resources.

Grow the Collaboration and Foster a Strong Community of Practice (CoP)

Actively seek new collaboration to expand GTC3 reach and strengthen the geospatial CoP. Simultaneously, increase student engagement and support by maintaining and expanding the GeoTech Resource Center Student Honor Society, fostering a network of peers and mentors to promote student access and professional growth.
